Four players, one shared frustration: we were tired of rankings that nobody seemed to have actually finished. So we built our own.
Fantastic UK For You is not a content factory. Once a week we meet, hand out new candidates, then go away and play — on the bus, in lunch breaks, on the sofa in the evening. Notes get compared, arguments happen, and a score only lands when every editor has tried the title.
The name is a promise, not a slogan: free browser games chosen for people in the United Kingdom who do not want to waste an evening on a broken build or a wall of ads. We have outgrown the kitchen table where the first shortlist was written, but the rule remains — we only recommend what we would happily play with our own free time.
Partner relationships help fund the site. If you click through from a review to a game’s official page, we may earn a commission. That never rewrites the order. The scoring protocol is the same for every title, and a weak game does not join the list just because it has a partner programme.
Scores are not for sale
Commissions help keep the lights on, not rewrite opinions. Criteria are public and applied evenly.
The list stays alive
Every quarter we re-test the full ranking. If a game breaks, fills with ad walls, or disappears, it goes — even if it was popular.
